| The bronze font was placed
in the western part of the nave until the
17th century and was then moved to the chapel
in 1653.
Its donator Wilbernus is depicted in the
dedication image at the feet of Holy Mary.
Possibly he is identical to the famous
Wilbrand of Oldenburg, who has been proven
as the Cathedral´s provost into the
early 1320s.
Four kneeling figures, symbolizing the
four rivers of paradise, support the font´s
kettle.
